"Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement"

The FAR and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) apply to purchases and contracts by DoD contracting activities made in support of foreign military sales or North Atlantic Treaty Organization cooperative projects without regard to the nature or sources of funds obligated, unless otherwise specified in the regulation.

Similar to our approach to RoHS, Hardware Specialty Co., Inc. has dedicated specific Quality and Purchasing resources to DFARS. We have:

• Identified & segregated non-compliant inventory
• Identified new stock by part number
• Maintain traceability at lot tag level
• Certification is obtained from source of supply as to country of melt.

It is our intention to continue to process the requests coming in from our valued customers in a timely fashion in accordance with their requirements, keeping in mind their time restraints and documentation needs.
